Quality at every stage


The following principles are an intrinsic part of IMEM’s corporate culture in every single one of our activities, products and services:

Customer satisfaction, premium quality and high productivity as key elements in our continuous growth and constant search for better results.

The health and safety at work of our staff, given the nature and magnitude of the risks identified, our commitment to the reduction of these to avoid harm and the monitoring of our workers’ health and wellbeing.

Respect for nature and the environment, measuring the environmental impact of our activity, as well as the development of the controls, evaluations, analyses and studies necessary for their effective management.

All the above principles are spelt out in our Integrated Quality, Safety and Environment Policy and our Enviromental Statement.

To this end, right from the start, we have been fully committed to the implementation and certification of internationally standardised quality assurance systems.

ISO 9001 – Quality Management System

Our organisation was a pioneer in this field within the lift sector: since 1997, before it was even a legal requirement, we have been committed to the application of this international standard.

Module H1 – European Lift Directive

A full quality assurance system plus design examination for lifts: we were also lift sector pioneers in obtaining this certificate on 1 June 1999 within the scope of the European Lift Directive, which endorses our quality management system in lift design, manufacture and installation.

ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems

Our concern and respect for the environment was demonstrated by our certification as ISO 14001-compliant in 2008.

ISO 45001– Occupational Health and Safety Management System

Our adoption of this international management model in 2008 underlined our commitment in this respect to our employees and to society as a whole.
