EN81-70 Standard

Accessible Lifts

We accumulate a great experience to provide certified products meeting EN81-70 requirements. EN81-70 is the European harmonized code for improving the use of elevators for people with disabilities.

Type 1 (450 kg) elevators:

  • Accommodate one wheelchair user.
  • Minimum car size: 1000 x 1250 mm.
  • Minimum entrance width: 800 mm.

Type 2 (630 kg) elevators:

  • Accommodate one wheelchair user and an accompanying person.
  • Minimum car size: 1100 x 1400 mm.
  • Recommended entrance width: 900 mm.

Type 3 (1275 kg) elevators:

  • Accommodate one wheelchair user and several other users. They also allow a wheelchair to be turned around in the car.
  • Minimum car size: 2000 x 1400 mm.
  • Recommended entrance width: 1100 mm.
